Aichi,
March 8, 2000 - Aichi Steel held the "Great Commemorative Ceremony" in
recognition of its 60th anniversary today. The afternoon event followed a religious
ceremony that took place in the morning at the Toyogane shrine here.
At the ceremony, the company presented testimonials to those who contributed to the
company and gave a "special recognition" to five employees who contributed to
the company's business. Aichi Steel's new public relations design (lower left photograph)
and 60th Anniversary Symbol-mark (lower right drawing) were also released in conjunction
with the ceremony.
Later in March, the 60th anniversary's activities will include commemorations at five
Japanese cities (Kariya, Tokai, Chita, Higashiura, and Handa) and two American cities
(Santa Rosa and Georgetown) where the company has a close relationship. On Monday, May
29th, the company will sponsor a concert by the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra at The
Concert Hall of Aichi Prefectural Art Theater to acknowledge the contributions of Aichi
Steel's employees, their families, and members of the community. World famous conductor
Kenishiro Kobayashi will lead the orchestra. |
